Course: Intro to Crane CARE Parts

Prerequisite:


Students must have at least 6 months parts experience and basic PC navigation Skills.
Description:This course introduces students to the Manitowoc Crane CARE organization, operations, policies, procedures, computer system and marketing programs.

The course begins with an in-depth look into the parts organization and operations. Students are presented with an overview of Manitowoc Crane Group product brands which include terms and technologies used for each brand. Students will participate in a machine hands-on session to aid in component identification, function and location. A full day of training in the Shady Grove computer lab allows students to experience the Global Parts Express 2 (GPX2) system and CAPX System through practical hands-on exercises. Time is spent to familiarize students with the Crane CARE parts return and discrepancy forms, parts pricing structures and current Parts Marketing Programs.

The week concludes with tours of the manufacturing and Crane CARE facilities with time allotted for students to meet and talk with their assigned Parts Coordinator.

  • Utilize the CAPX System to locate part numbers.
  • Be equipped to provide customers with the information concerning the current Parts Marketing Programs to sell more parts.
  • Basic understanding of how Parts Return Program functions.
  • Enable attendees to display confidence to customers through product knowledge and an understanding of Crane CARE computer systems.
