Below lists the prerequisite for this course and the course description.
| Prerequisite: | Online E-training of Intro to Crane Care Parts OR (1) year of Grove Crane Parts experience. |
| Content: | The GMK Parts course allows distributor parts personnel to become more familiar with the GMK and Krupp crane models. Topics covered during the course include terminology and technology, correct model designations, proper use of GMK parts manuals and German to English translations.
The course begins with a walk through the history of the Krupp organization along with the Grove acquisition of Krupp in 1995. Special emphasis is placed on GMK Terminology and Technology to ensure all attendees are using the correct terminology as it pertains to GMK parts.
Attendees will receive instruction on proper use of GMK parts manuals and locating GMK parts on the GMK CAPX system. Students will complete parts search exercises in the classroom using GMK parts manuals and the GMK CAPX system. |
| Objectives: | Upon course completion the student will:

Know the history of the GMT/ Krupp / GMK All Terrain Cranes and how some of the applied technologies have evolved.

Be able to more efficiently locate GMK parts, saving their service departments time.

Be able to use the parts manuals more effectively.

Have a resource to translate between English to German and back.

Be better equipped to communicate with GMK parts personnel.
