| Description: | The intent of this course is to provide information that is needed to properly and safely lift loads with a mobile crane. Crane rated capacity charts shall be covered in depth. O.S.H.A. and ASME/ANSI standards covering load handling will be covered. The importance using the proper lifting equipment for items / materials being lifting. Proper usage of slings, chains, etc. How to calculate sling loads by angle, height and length. Calculating center of gravity on objects to be lifted When to use choker, basket, or vertical hitches Proper reeving on load blocks. During the hands on portion of the class, the attendee will be required to apply the material that was covered during the classroom phase. |
